Close to My Heart December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Thoughtful Flowers

Welcome to the December Stamp of the Month
Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Cat Nowak's Blog.}   We have 27 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

The December Stamp of the Month is entitled Thoughtful Flowers (S1612) (Set of 14).   Here is a picture of this stamp set:

Do you like to color?  This stamp has so much potential.  You can stamp and color the flowers using our watercolor pencils, watercolors, ShinHan markers, or just leave the stamped image with no coloring.  And gold embossing would be gorgeous.

With that said, here is my card.

I have been pretty busy this week.  Christmas is such a wonderful holiday to craft for and I have been designing and cutting kits.  So today's blog hop kind of crept up on me.  I decided to challenge myself and go to Pinterest, type in Flower card and then copy the first card design I saw with this stamp set and Close to My Heart papers.

So, this is what I saw.
Sharon Burkert

And I copied the design exactly with Close to My Heart products.  In order to make cards, you do not have to come up with your own original ideas.  Sometimes a good page or card design is all that you need.  Then the only decisions you need to make are the colors and papers.  I have used paper from our Swan Lake paper pack and even a piece of red patterned paper from the My Crush Happy, Happy Christmas papers that I had left over from a different project. I did not have the stitched circle so I took my journaling pen and drew the dashes and dots in to add a little definition.  Super easy and very striking!

The Thoughtful Flowers Stamp of the Month Stamp Set can be purchased for $17.95 or if you purchase $50 in CTMH products, you can add this stamp set to your order for an additional $5.  This stamp set is only available between December 1 – December 31, 2016.

Flower Market Blog Hop

Welcome to the Close to My Heart  Flower Market Blog Hop!

This hop I am following {Wendy Kessler's Blog.}   We have 22 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this City Sidewalk's New Product Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

I absolutely LOVE this Cricut Cartridge.  It is 700 images of pure joy.  It comes with 3 stamp sets that will enhance any crafter's projects.  Two of the stamp sets are background stamps and one is must have words.

I have been wanting to update my Christmas artwork.  Each year I make a one page layout that I frame and put the family Christmas picture in.  So I need something with a whole lot of pizzaz!  This cartridge fit the bill.

Check out my layout.

I have used the stamp sets included with the collection to add some dimension on my poinsettias and pine cones.  I added glitter paper for the Noel banner and the pine cones.  All of the images found on this layout can be found on the Flower Market cartridge including the wreath, ferns, pine cones, and poinsettias.  You just cut them out and layer the images.  Super easy and a lot of WOW appeal.

Below the layout is framed and ready to hang on my wall.

Happy, Happy Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy, Happy Christmas
 Blog Hop!

For this hop I am following {Melissa Robinson's Blog.}   We have 10 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in the Happy, Happy Christmas Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

So, what are we featuring in this blog hop?  We are featuring the Happy, Happy Christmas November Promotion.  We took the already fantastic promotion and added our twist to it.

The Happy, Happy Christmas Campaign features a workshop designed to help you have a happy, happy Christmas! We have made this workshop to help you create not only a beautiful Christmas album, just in time for the holiday season, but also to give you the materials to create four additional items that would make beautiful holiday gifts! It’s like getting five amazing projects all in one workshop!

During November, save over 10% off the retail value when you purchase one of the 12″ × 12″ album bundles (CC1179 and CC1180) for only $69.95 each! This bundle includes an exclusive guide to walk you through the steps of assembling five beautiful 2-page layouts. Add on additional items to make additional projects with your leftover materials, too!

I decided to take the original workshop and first add some additional mats.  I am all about extra layers!  These layouts use the My Crush Happy, Happy Christmas pages and the Picture My Life Happy, Happy Christmas cards.  You get everything you need to make these layouts plus a gorgeous album!

Original Layout

Here is my project. See the added mats?  I think it adds a little dimension.

I added Flip Flaps.  LOVE THEM!  Then I added some of the extra Picture My Life cards, My Crush papers, and complements.

Here is the left page with the Flip Flaps open.

And the right side of the layout.

After I added Flip Flaps to all of my pages, I could place 33 photos on my 5 page layout.  That will be plenty of room for all of my Christmas pictures.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I would love for you to show me a little love by leaving me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Gina Brandstetter's Blog} and see what she has made with this adorable stamp set.
